Peaches forwarded this to me this morning ...... we do meet some of the nicest people in our work.
Hi Peaches..it was nice to finally meet you. I'm glad to know someone else can benefit from all that I donated and I will have more for you as I do my spring cleaning. I am so overwhelmed by the things that were given to me and I am so thankful. I only went through 2 boxes so far and I must say I was almost in tears. One of the boxes included your sneakers and I like them, so does my son he decided to put them on his little feet and clomp around the house.
Thanks again for everything and I am about to go through at least one more box as I prepare dinner.....thank you thank you thank you

Man's Best Friend Needs Help Too!
We want to thank Elaine for the wonderful donation and drop off of many LARGE bags and numerous cans of Science Diet dog food. Your donation will buy some time for families who in today's economy find they can barely afford food on their own tables. No one should ever have to give up a beloved family pet simply because thru no fault of their own, they can no longer afford to feed it. Your donation will be used to give numerous households more time to search for a long term solution. Hopefully, their situation will change before they have to relinquish their family pet.
We gladly accept pet food donations. The Reys of Hope Volunteers are all huge animal lovers, we take care of feral cats (Peaches and Ruth), do animal rescue (Pat), adopt stray cats (Susan), love dogs (Susan, Fr. John), rescue birds (Pat) - you name it, one of us has probably done it. Please contact us if you can donate pet food of any kind. We will make sure it gets to those that need it.

Some Dresses I Made for Our Kids
Here are some pictures of Easter Dresses I made and donated to some of our kids. (Someday I will figure out how to get these photos right.) I wish I could sew for them all - 2 are for sisters, the third for a "girly-girl" who likes to twirl - Peaches dropped off a dress for her that was blown off the porch before the family could retrieve it. The little girl knew a dress was coming for her and was very upset that it was gone, since it meant no Easter dress for her. I could not bear the thought and decided I would make her one. All three of these little ones received a dress, tights and shoes -
Thankfully, I just picked up a huge donation of children's clothes from my cousin and her co-workers at J&J so we have more nice things for our children. Thanks Barbara, Pat, Renee and Bonnie for all of your efforts!! Another of my favorite donors, from Little Egg Harbor, also gifted us with two bikes - I can't tell you how happy they will make a couple of our kids. Thanks, Bill!! Vince is in the garage as I write this making sure there is air in the tires since I am dropping them off today for Peaches. I also want to thank my good friend Dorcas, for a full pick-up truck of children's toys and gear and her continuing support of my efforts for the Reys of Hope!

We're Still Out Here
Sorry there have been no new posts lately. I have been busy collecting, sorting and helping prepare drop offs for Peaches. It takes a tremendous amount of time. I currently have the mother load of women's clothing - donated by my dear friend Sharon, in my basement to sort, wash if needed, etc.
Over the weekend I was given two bags of toys - from another of our favorite donors, a young mom from Hazlet, who has given so many beautiful things for our children. Thanks, Jenn.
Today Ruth and I are going to pick up more children's gear. These items go out as fast as we can get them - so please contact us if you would like to donate. We will arrange a pick up at a time convenient for you.

Thank You to Bill and Renee
Pat would like to thank Renee and Bill for helping an elderly man move. It is nice to know there are still people who volunteer their time. It meant alot to him. Thanks again for answering his message.
A Thank You To Us - We Appreciate Them!
Hello Pat,
My name is Nina, I would like to personally thank you for helping my girlfriend Laura and her daughter MacKenzi . I put the ad on Trash to Treasure for her. I myself have been helping her since November 19th when she came to New Jersey. (She is living with me) I found her a job and have been watching her daughter while she works (Before school & after). So I really have done all I can for them and again I would like to thank you very much. I was worried for them having nothing.
God Bless You,
Nina
