A run down on this weeks schedule

So far we have done 3 drop offs.Tonite Lori and Tim from Lakehurst are bringing us some much needed childrens clothes.Thursday we have a noon pick up in Barnegat.Friday we have a drop off in Burlington.Saturday we have a drop off in Bordentown.Tuesday we have a pick up in Belmawr. And several drop offs in Ocean County area between Sept 7-13.
Have had 2 moms requesting size 4t boy clothes and size 7 boy clothes.Usually if we do get boy clothes the knees are normally torn out and we can not use them.As we do not give torn, stained, ripped or missing buttons, zippers to people. So if anyone has any boy clothes that
are not ripped,etc..and would like to donate to us we would be more than happy to take them.

A Very Nice family we helped

They had a baby girl

BUSY DAY TODAY

We had 2 drop offs and 1 pick up.
None of them were close to each other.
So used alot of gas today.It was worth it though;
since all were thankful and gave us hugs.
Its so nice when we help nice people.
We have had in the past a few that requested certain color clothes for their children but,I let them know we do not run a store.LOL
So while the earthquake shook
Fr Johns car was shaking, rattling and rolling.

The pale mauve chair

Here is a chair we gave
to a young woman who is going to college
for her dorm room.
She tried it out before taking. And said"wow its so comfortable'.
We also gave her a nice white tv with a vcr included.
Normally we do not accept furniture
but, since it was delivered to the house we sort
of had no other option than to find a home for it.

BABY CARE PRODUCTS NEEDED

Yesterday we met a young mom who has a baby
with diaper rash. She is using vaseline which is not helping.
We need desitin for this moms baby and others.
This is something we hear about quite often from inexperienced moms.
Alot of them do not have family support.
It amazes me how in this day and age they have no idea
of a babys basics needs.
She also has been using adult baby powder.

5 Families that left an impression on us written by Pat

1. We delivered items to a woman who had lived in a domestic violence situation. When she answered the door her face was extremely swollen and black and blue. She mentioned she had left awhile ago even though her bruises were very prominent.
2.A woman had emailed us and asked for items for her children. When we arrived at the address she gave us we saw a huge house with a swimming pool and 3 car garage.I told Fr John "this person does not need any help from us"as we were leaving a spanish woman flagged us down and told us her and her husband lived in a small trailor behind the 5 bedroom house. When we saw the trailor it was in disrepair. There were curtains hanging on the windows and a small bouquet of flowers on the table. The woman was so happy to get everything. She told us her husband was so lucky to get the last bouquet of flowers from his bosses wife for half price on Valentines Day.She was just ready to close up her Flower Shop when he asked how much was the flowers. So at 6 pm on Valentines Day he bought the flowers and surprized his wife.I looked around to see how they were living and then beyond to the bosses house. It made me wonder how someone could watch a family struggling and not offer to help when they evidently had the means.
3.An 8 yr old girl wanted to donate some toys and items to us.She had found out we helped her neighbor. She also insisted on a reciept, which we gave her ,lol
4.A man asked if we could give clothes for his wife and daughter as he had just been layed off and was having trouble getting unemployment. We asked if he needed anything himself. He assured us he did not. When we met with the man we could not help but notice the holes in his shoes and the big toe actually sticking out.No he had no socks and it was chilly out.We asked him again if he needed anything before we left.He assured us he was just fine and only his wife and daughter needed items.
5.A teenage boy had emailed us with a Christmas request for his brothers since both of his parents had a drinking problem and he knew there would be no Christmas presents as usual. We surprized them with not only alot of presents but food.
NONE OF THESE DONATIONS COULD OF BEEN AVAILABLE IF NOT FOR THE GENEROUS PEOPLE WHO HAD DONATED>AGAIN WE THANK GOD THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD THAT WANT TO HELP OTHERS FREEEEEEEEEE
