Fr. John And Pat Have Been BUSY, BUSY!!!

Melodi donated 2 cribs which were in mint condition. 1 went to a mother who's baby has been sleeping in a stroller for over a month.  She and her older son are going through some rough times and just went on food stamps.  We also donated some infant clothes for her baby girl.  The other crib went to a young mom who had twins and only one crib. The babies are about 6 mos old and moving and squirming a lot.  Also donated several books on baby care and first year growing up.

Gave a pair of lamps to a family that was displaced and are starting over again in Ocean county.
Gave a  box of toys for 3 yr old girl and 6 yr old boy who had no toys to play with when they moved to Trenton with parents from shelter situation.
Donated a set of golf clubs to an elderly man who wants to start playing golf.
Donated some shoes to a woman who wears size 11.  We had been given 6 pairs from a woman who was going into a nursing home.
Donated small household items to 2 families that were victims of house fires due to faulty electric.
Donated size 2 boy clothes to several moms in Burlington and Ocean County.
Drove to Millville to donate clothes for a mom, dad and 6 mos old baby.  Dad layed off, Mom lost her job.
Gave a box of children's books to a lady who now babysits several children to make ends meet.
Donna from PA donated half of a car load of boy toys for the needy.  Her two 2 sons, ages 7 and 9,  wanted to give to a charity.
Donated a walker to a man who was having difficulty walking to grocery store in the parking lot.
Donated some women's clothes size medium and large to several women.
Donated 2 coffee tables,1 lamp and some dishes to college students getting an apartment.
Donated some crafts to a nursing home.
Donated about 30 hardcover books to a senior citizens library. The woman said all they had were Harlequin Romances.  Now they have cook books, autobiographies and gardening books.  Normally,  we only take children's books.  But because this woman asked a while ago if we had books, we accepted them when they were offered.   Most were like brand new.
Donated 1 ironing board to a woman who still irons her husbands shirts.
Lastly, we donated some dresses, skirts and make up for a woman who is trying to start over and look for a job.  She asked if we had any costume jewelery she could wear with her new outfits, but  so far no one has given us any.
As you can see we have been quite busy since January 2010.  Also please know that  none of this could have been done without the generosity of others.  Thank you to our wonderful donors!!!
